Adja Yunkers () was an artist and teacher known for his color woodcuts, lithographs, and abstract paintings. Born in Latvia, he studied in Europe, established a workshop in Stockholm, and eventually emigrated to the United States inwhere he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship.1 print: woodcut, color ; image 48 x 33 cm, on sheet 50 x 38 cm.Adja Yunkers, of Latvian birth, studied in Leningrad, Paris, Berlin, and London and, after a period of travel, established a worshop in Stockholm.
